Good deal for restaurant week lunch. The fritto misto was the best fried seafood I've had - a mix of shrimp, zucchini, and calamari. Came with a nice dipping sauce. The lasagna was delicious! I gobbled it all up even though it wasn't small. Service was good and the space is very cute!

(Overall: B) - Mareluna has a $15 lunch special and a $30 restaurant week deal which is pretty value considering the SoHo area. Their food has high variance, but there are some highlights that are good for sure. The ambience is calm and relaxing, and the staff are friendly and attentive as well -- both key factors that will play in the long run. (Calamari: A) - A classic dish where they mixed in some shrimp in the fry as well as elevated the heat of the chili aioli. Both plays were quite smart, and the calamari itself was tender on the inside, and nicely crispy on the outside. Great dish at a good price. (Mussels: A) - Beautiful appetizer with 90% tender mussels cooked in a flavorful white wine and garlic based broth. This is a classic dish that is executed well at a good price. Would recommend. (Eggplant: D) - Aside from the presentation, I don't understand this dish -- its like a meatball replaced with eggplant, which does not seem a viable substitute as meatballs are dense and can absorb those beautiful sauces nicely; meanwhile, eggplant is airy and watery, so it made the entire dish feel incohesive and lacking substance to me. (Cozze: C) - This mussel pasta seemed to follow a similar ingredient list to their mussels appetizer, but was in every way somehow worse. The mussels were sandy, and the pasta was bland; the residual sauce tasted diluted with starch and is missing those fragant white wine and garlic notes. The presentation and price are quite good though. -- Food: E Presentation: +1 Price: E Atmosphere: +1 Service: +1 Menu: E Overall: +3 B Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Came here for Wife's Birthday as she wanted to try the Duck Ragu. When we came here for lunch it was quiet but very friendly and welcoming staff. Who immediately offered us Ice Cold Water as ti was a very hot day. The decor is very welcoming too and was offered the most air cooled seats in the restaurant as it wasn't busy. Our Appetizer is the Fritto Misto which was very good the shrimp and calamari was very fresh and the breading was really crunchy. Their Sauce was a really good pairing for the fried seafood. As it was lunch the Duck Ragu was not available but staff was very accommodating and manage to get the kitchen to make the Duck Ragu as she wanted to try it. It was really good the flavors worked very will together nothing overpowering as usually Duck flavor tends to do in most dishes. I ordered the recommended Porcini Muhsrooms which was also delicious. I love the mushroom flavors of the dish and the pasta was cooked to my liking al dente. For dessert we shared a Profiterole and we absolutely loved the hazelnut praline cream which paired very well with the Vanilla Gelato we also found it not overly sweet which is something the wife loves in dessert. Our server made us a non Alcholic Peachy Fizz and it was good especially and refreshing especially on a hot day. Highly recommend for any dates or afternoon eating.

Super cozy Italian place in SoHo! The space was very cute and was great for a group of friends to eat or for a date night. We got a ton of things to share - grilled octopus was really good and wasn't chewy - pear salad and fried artichoke salad were both fine - not outstanding - prosciutto and burrata was underwhelming - they just put the two thing on a bed of arugula and nothing tasted like much. The bread that came with it was also tough - cacio e Pepe was my fave dish - super creamy and well seasoned, was delicious! - lobster ragu was fine but under seasoned so didn't taste like much - duck ragu was really good as well, and the duck meat was very tender Overall good spot, but some things were not that worth getting
